Baindu, a native Brooklynite, enjoys using various mediums of the performing arts to conduct storytelling. She performed her one-woman show Platform Griot to sold out audiences at the WorkShop Theatre’s Jewel Box Theatre.  Her play Hair Ye, Hair Ye… won the Midtown International Theatre Festival 2017 Short Play Lab: Program B. Her full length play, Tenneh, qualified for the Princess Grace Awards 2017 finals, was “A-listed” for the Garland Lee Thompson, Sr. Readers’ Theatre at the 2017 National Black Theatre Festival and featured in the DC Black Theatre Festival 2017 New Works Reading Series. She was also a finalist in Theatre at Downtown Urban Arts Festival 2017.

In 2016, Baindu competed in Short & Sweet Theatre Festival Dubai and Abu Dhabi; and won awards for Best Actress, Best Director, Best Script and Best Overall Production. She has danced with numerous dance companies in America.  Her choreography, Four Corners, qualified for the semi-finals in Short & Sweet Dance Festival Dubai 2016. During the Fall of 2016, she released an EP called Desert Draft, which is available on Bandcamp. Baindu is extremely grateful to God for all gifts bestowed upon her and every opportunity presented.
